Garden whisper

My garden doesn't appear like this right now,
but in rainy days like these,
i love to cheer up myself and hopefully you too by watching these pictures.
Just a little more patience...

A warm welcome to my new followers and
wishing you all a lovely day!

Bunnymania

Some days ago i had a bunny in my garden,
a very sweet and photogenic bunny.

You need:
cardboard
recycled papers
buttons
 strings
scissors
and glue

*************
My garden bunny launched a real bunnymania among children...

bunnies styled by my little creative friends

Aren't they so cute!?!

Thanks again for all your kind comments
and wishing you a nice and creative beginning of the week!:)

Glass cabinet

It seems that spring,
besides nature, wakes the home decorator up.
This time 'the whitening operation' puts its critic eye on this glass cabinet,
Ikea purchase from some years ago.
Nothing could stop it...

I normally use
the traditional method to repaint something.
This time i wanted to experience this much talked
Homemade Chalk Paint
 -easy and quick
-without sandpapering
From the internet and blogs you can find so many recipes,
i tried this one:
about 250 grams of paint
1,5 table spoon of plaster of paris
some hot water

Love it!

Talking about white, shabby chic style and different techniques, i just can't miss mentioning
my blogger friends
Mari from CreaMariCrea
and Cinzia from La gatta sul tetto
These girls rock!

Curious to see before???

Here:

If someone was wondering:
a vintage twisted wood basket, in the first pictures, is my very last discovery
from a local thrift store.
They told me that this kind of baskets happen often to be there
-who wants to come with me next time?:)

Spring in frames

In my house,
little by little the items and furnitures are going under whitening operation.
This last weekend was these frames's turn...
I love the shabby chic effect so coudn't just leave them white,
 some scratching was necessary.

Luckily i had time to take these pictures since today everything is covered by snow!

Welcome my new followers
and thank you for all your beautiful comments:)!

Wishing you a nice beginning of the week,
see you soon!

Shades of Scarlet

You feel it instantly -there is no hurry to go anywhere.
In Pizzighettone,
an ancient walled village,
the present is living in harmony with the past.

Every creature is welcome in this little village by the Adda river.

I hope you enjoyed this tour with me!
Wishing you
a magical weekend!

Flower power

New week
and a step closer to the spring.
Some days the weather is going backwards
but then the sun comes out
 and hope is back.

Last week i posted you of my flea market treasure.
Today i announce that the hammered copper pot has found its flower:
beautiful white hortensia.

At the same time in my garden something is popping up...
 primroses...
and crocuses...

I wish you a lovely flowering week!

Broken frames

Valtellina, here we go again!
If you missed the first part, you can find it here.

Today i take you for a walk
among vineyard terraces close to the Sanctuary of Madonna della Sassella and Castel Grumello.
These two itineraries distance each other only 6 kilometres by car.

Sanctuary of Madonna della Sassella

Castel Grumello

ancient ruins of this twin structured castle are framing the breathtaking landscape

Did you know that Valtellina is a land of great wines?
The red wines are produced by Nebbiolo grapes. The most special one is Valtellina Sfursat.
Valtellina Superiore is divided into five sub-denominations:
Maroggia, Sassella, Grumello, Inferno and Valgella.

Hammered copper pot

Last weekend i left the local second hand market
with such delight...
One of my discover was this vintage copper plant pot.

Even if i like green patina inside, i decided to clean it in a natural way:
salt and lemons.

Now only the flower is missing...

See you soon!
